Hanga Waka

We have been learning  how to make a waka. We had to start of by using a paper and then we had to list our material on to our paper. Then after that we had tell Whaea Toni what materials we wanted and then go back to our table and make our boat. When we got our materials we had to pay for them and my cost was $135. The thing that I used was 2 pieces of tin foil 2 ice block sticks and 3 pieces of sala tape.

Library opening

Today it was when we opened our new Library. Also we got to dress up as a book character so I dressed up as a Nerd. My favorite part of the day was when we got to bless the Library and when we ran around in a circle. I felt good reading my book to my little person. If you don't know who I was working with I was working with Ben in NRT and that stands for Nga Rau Tipranga and I was reading through the looking glass.

In the holiday

In the holiday I did Kapa Haka with Matua Horrace. When we did Kapa Haka we had some of the Bay of Islands college girls to help us. In the holiday my aunty,Latiyah and me went to my Aunty Steeves house to look after her two kids Temanava and Teataroa. We were looking after her two kids because Aunty Steeve was baking a wedding cake for my Aunty Reina. In the holiday I went to Aunty Tash´s house and we went to Flip out. Flip out is the new trampoline place by chipmunks. When we went to Flip out I saw my cousins were there Kailah,Khy and Qwayde.

Fun Run

On Friday we had a fun run and when we finished running around the muddy padic we had to do these obstacles. The first obstacle was this big net and my Aunty helped me get under it. Then when we ran the rest of the obstacles everybody was cheering for me, well most people were cheering for me. This is the picture that I chose to write about.

5. Kiwis are our New Zealand birds
6. They sleep in the day
7. There nostrils are at the top of their bill
8. Kiwis only have one eye on each side = 2 eyes
9. Kiwis can’t fly
10. They have a strong smell.
